Is this something that people want?

The book is pretty great, and the ones that follow are too! Nancy Mitford is a very fun writer and this is partially based on the Mitford girls upbringing (that women don’t get education, keep them on the estate), there are a few books about their lives that are even more interesting than Nancy’s books. One of her…
Megan Abbott is great: I’ve read a few of her books and specifically her “Hard Case” books and she’s like a female Jim Thompson. And that’s a very high recommendation.
what amazes me is that a lot of the traitors were posting on social media as it was happening. Yet the FBI can’t find them somehow?
There’s a reason why people said Ben playing the husband in Gone Girl was type casting.
“The Favourite did what Sofia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette failed to do—inspire a revolution in period piece aesthetics.”
This wasn’t exactly on the same level as Tyra Banks putting on a beret and a bad French accent in a terrible skit about her modelling days in Paris with her nemesis, Becky, but I do get your point. I’m going to actully come to Ru’s defence here, as she’s a decent actor given the right material. The problem here, of…
When he said what? What is this word that was not meant hatefully of which you speak?
He looks like Shia LaBeouf playing a JD Vance hillbilly character.
Ru’s bit at the end of the skit was really bad, worse than any of the queens but of course no one would tell him that.
Seems like a bit of a racist and stupid comment. Not least “Japanese war crimes were always noted”. By whom, when and as opposed to American and/or British war crimes (which are many)?
What?
“But it’s clear that he just took whatever 500-page draft of his screenplay, and deleted all the “EXTERIOR HOLLYWOOD BACKLOT - DAY” bits. It’s still in present tense, and that bit about him addressing the coffee order to the secretary is indeed unclear in text...”
Yeah, people speak differently. That’s what makes them interesting.
Came here to say this, too. Jezebel is once again talking out of both sides of their mouth. You don’t get to claim to support Britney, and then go back to the same gossip and trash-talk that is literally the poison running through her entire life. Do better.
I understand that this is dirtbag, so the flippant tone is expected, but it seems oddly callous and weird to me that you’re treating a situation involving alleged guardianship abuse as a sibling rivalry. If Britney Spears’ testimony is anything to go by, she holds her entire family responsible for the abuse she has…
Someone else kind of touched on it already, but editing dialogue because you don’t like a fictional character’s word choice would just be a great way to get yourself replaced.
Just FYI it clearly reads like you’re desperate to hate the book.
As someone currently being treated for cancer (fortunately mine’s stayed in one place so far), I wish Mark all the best and also, fuck cancer.
I had a very minor version of this (not exactly the same but in the same neighborhood), treated with amount a month’s worth of radiation. My oncologist scared the hell out of me at the outset, making me think it was worse than it was but...I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy. It’s all you can think about. You go to…
