I mean, he looks the part.

Yeah, Nickelodeon cutting ties definitely seemed to indicate SOMETHING, because this guy has made them millions, possibly billions of dollars over the decades and they showed him the door. I have just never seen the implication (in Dennis Reynolds voice) in an article here.

Didn’t McCurdy say some stuff? And conveniently she’s the one who’s out of the business now?

She seems to have no desire to do so. She’s said in interviews that she was the breadwinner for her family at an insanely young age, so any passion or fun she had for acting is long snuffed out. I just hope she’s happy doing whatever.

It’s sad that McCurdy has given up acting, she had great comedic timing at such a young age.  I hope she returns, she really is gifted.

Misogyny is in the mix too, but there’s clearly a racist element to how he picked the kinds of business and kinds of women on which he’d focus his hate. This idea that asian women go hand in hand with sex work, so their race was pure coincidence, is racial bias in and of itself, and needs to be examined as such.

Considering he drove to separate locations to seek out his victims, their ethnicity was very much not coincidental.

That coincidence was selection—his “sex addiction” targeted who he thought was available and vulnerable because they fit a racist conception of sex. Leaving aside the spin of the perpetrator’s self-description of his motives, (killing people who would be the trafficked victims, except he thinks he’s the victim and

Please tell me you’re not saying that the US was right to imprison law abiding citizens based only on the fact that they were ethnically Japanese?!?  And that’s INTERNMENT camps, not internships.  Note that German-American citizens weren’t imprisoned without cause or evidence of wrongdoing, just Japanese Americans.

I’ve never felt more ancient than knowing this show is old enough for a sequel/reboot

I’d concur on Gorsuch (he’s from my district and has loads of experience as an actual judge). Coney Barrett has precious little experience as either a practicing attorney, let alone as a judge. There are no “qualifications” required for a SC. Anyone can be on the SC. ACB is proof of what that means, imo.

I agree that it was credible and that it wasn’t likely to sink the nomination on its own, given that it was high school behavior. What should have sunk the nomination was his reaction to it, which was that she was lying and he didn’t drink too much and it was a conspiracy against him and yelling and crying and saying

As a lady of a similar age (who still wears some makeup and hasn’t completely thrown in the towel), let me offer some gentle tips. Severe, thickly drawn-on eyeliner is...not your friend. If you’re still doing eyeliner, it needs to be more subtle/blended. Now let’s move on to the lips. Dark lipstick is the sole

I’d argue that competitive/travel cheer is way way more popular than school based cheer by a large degree; but that’s just my guess.

All the more reason cheer should be designated a proper athletic activity, and not relegate girls to being ‘pretty and sexy’ for their efforts to be valid. What other sport does that to this degree?

Maybe read some other reviews.

Uhhh... Fuck Blade Runner, marry Apocalypse Now, kill Justice League.

Kinda disappointing. I didn’t expect it to be good but I was hoping for a train wreck.

My niece is a cheerleader. She takes tumbling, ballet and hip hop dance classes in addition to cheer practice. She is tall and very strong and the bottom of the multilayer pyramid and holds other cheerleaders on her shoulders and in her hands. Why does not having Pom poms and wearing a costume with make up make her a

I don’t know about how it works for them, but speaking as someone who flunked out of college multiple times before finally getting my shit together, it seemed like once you get that spot on campus, the door is always open for you to return, even if you are asked by the dean to visit the local CC for a semester or two.
