As a book reader, I think this ending was handled with a little more deftness than the book. From what I remember, the Amma reveal happens in the 3-4 pages right before the ending and is all laid out very matter-of-fact compared to the rest of the story. There was definitely more art to this ending (“Don’t tell mama”…
