Alien life isn’t likely to like us very much. Even on our own planet - there are lots of things that don’t find us very tasty except as a last resort. And there is reasonable expectation that most of the life here is adapted to each other enough to at least be able to get sustainance from what we kill. Even so...

Okay, if we did every find an unknown form of life and it’s isolated in space. Nobody would be allowed near it. We would put it in a Dragon Capsule, undock it and park it 100 m off the station. If not we certainly wouldn’t poke at it with our gloved fingers.

It looks unbelievable in the sense this creature appears to defy most of the laws of physics, reproduction, growth and biology. Just becuase it is ALIEN doesn’t make it a super thing or it would have already taken over and colonized Mars with mega weapons pointed at Earth.

Hi, mountaineer here. Didier Delsalle has landed his helicopter on the summit of Everest (twice), so it’s possible, but barely. I don’t think he could have flown any higher than he did since he was using updrafts to ascend too. As for the skydiver, there wouldn’t be enough elevation to deploy a chute after a jump.

Well as a mountaineer and a Marine who has jumped out of planes and tried to land in specific places, a windy peak is not going to be advisable. So you miss and the chaotic winds blow you into the side of the mountain and push you all around. I wouldn’t do that.

One word: wind. Most mountains, especially extremely high ones interfere with weather patterns resulting in ridiculously high winds near their summits. You’re less likely to land than you are to be violently slammed into the thing.

I’m not an expert, but I would think a number of factors would prevent that.

This is basically trackmania no?

I use it sparingly on the Wii U/3DS for pulling up FAQs (but like, I used it a ton when I was playing Earthbound since Nintendo uploaded the player’s guide to their site).

Giving the benefit of the doubt that it’s actually 10,000, 100+ hours seems a bit out there too.

Tharja. I love that adorable little whack job.

Was looking for, and couldn’t find, bagpipe covers of Daft Punk.

“A precise hit will start a chain reaction which should destroy the station. Only a precise hit will set off a chain reaction. The shaft is ray-shielded, so you’ll have to use proton torpedoes.”
