@sjbucaro: I think he means 9am PST. He said "when they begin their workday on the West Coast".

I'm really digging the stand. It's a nice classy spin on the typical ultra-modern TV stand.

That's scary. I avoid unofficial ATMs like a plague (I pretty much only withdraw from my own bank's machines), and good thing I recently got the chip cards.

@jason51873: I think it's a psychological thing. It's like sitting down at a cafe, opening up your laptop, and then deliberately putting your smart phone down behind it, where it's out of your sight. It's just counter-intuitive, I think.

@Ian Logsdon: Now that would probably be the smartest way to do it.

@Tom_Servo: I wonder what the cost of such an operation would be, involving the SWAT team and helicopters and all.

Wow, how on earth did that slip past the editors?

Do people get billed for stupidity? This seems like an incredibly expensive and labour-intensive mishap.

@quesoesbueno59: When your phone doesn't automatically lock its keys, and you forget to do it. It happens very easily since most phones have a readily accessible "recent calls" or contacts menu and it really doesn't take much for the call button to be accidentally hit.

@rjdub: Same, and I'm 21. My first phone had a visible antenna and a monochrome GameBoy-looking screens. Remember when SE released their first camera phone? And people crapping their pants over the RAZR? That was only 6ish years ago, but it seems like decades in tech years.

Neat, but that docking situation (phone behind the big screen) is really awkward.

The Old Old Spice Guy?

@FauxFilms: I think the irony of rushing to McDonald's effectively cancels it out.

@Weakskills: Bahaha that too. Nothing escapes bootlegging!

Carnival games + tech sensation + cute plush toys = plenty of awesome.

One of the best things I've seen on the net recently. Would love to see more!

@Djnardu: Me too. I could totally see something like this working on Discovery.

There's too much gorgeous happening in that picture right there.

I bet wine-glass smoothies are gonna be the next big thing.
