This is terrible, but awesome at the same time. Oh so very cheesy, but hilarious!

Love the illustration!

Pigeons are like flying rats.

@Higgins: Nicely put! The book really doesn't indulge in over-explaining the back story (although it easily could have) and instead focuses on the individuals involved on a very intimate level. It foregrounds the humanity of it all, and leaves the larger ethical/moral debates to the readers' own discernment.

@lizyfizy: Best of luck in the Big Apple!

@Higgins: Hmm I can see how some might think that it is a bit slow at some parts, but I love how subtle and rich it is at the same time!

@VanMundegaarde: Haha I've actually been at it for a while. Read it in bits at a time, but today I finally got a chance to sit down comfortably in a huge armchair at a Starbucks to finish it off. It's now one of my favourites, too!

I finished reading Never Let Me Go today. An absolutely lovely read!

@ithyphallus, 13382: Oh neat! I haven't seen much filming here because I seldom venture out of the Yonge/Dundas bubble, but I remember being super excited when they filmed The Hulk on the Yonge Street strip.

@ithyphallus, 13382: I recognize our TTC bus! When/whereabouts did they film this? Did you see them filming?

I think it's because the film seems too niche. I personally have not heard of Scott Pilgrim until recently when blog sites like io9 have been covering its release. Though the promos look cool, I'm not sure they communicate enough about the movie to make people want to see it. Seems like the first tier of viewers

@lostarchitect: Thank you! I guess I can't be that subtle(?) with snarky Gawker sarcasm from now on, heh. :)

@Oh-Honey-No: I guess my sarcasm was too subtle, but that's exactly what I was poking at: the oh-so convenient zooming/panning away of the camera just as the cop begins to beat the guy. Note my tag "smooth camera moves".

@Bootheshmoo: I was being sarcastic...I thought the tag would be a give away but I guess not haha.

Still incredibly fit for a 52 year old!

What beating? I only saw him get wrestled to the ground, albeit a bit roughly (but those crazy phone-talkers, you gotta be careful with them—you never know), and then he was peacefully on the ground being gently handcuffed. In between? No, nothing. You guys are blowing this way out of proportion.

@soulcanhope: Oh. My god. That is brilliant!! Why haven't I seen this piece of awesomeness before? Haha thanks for sharing!

I don't know about it cheapening the building. What's the good of architecture if people can't appreciate it? I don't think architecture should be discriminatory or anything.

@Cocoa Mauve: Aw thanks! Getting dental work just annoys me in general, because it physically affects what you can eat, and I love eating! I just got back from a barbeque/birthday party not having eaten anything, so I now I'm having oatmeal and scrambled eggs at one in the morning. Hope you feel better soon also!
