Agreed. Also a matter of timing and perception. I say it’s like driving in a video game. F-Zero in the tunnels, Driver on the surface streets, dodging moving vans and college students. Plus there’s driving down Storrow on summer nights with the top down, tough to beat that.

I was confused by that at first when I got my paperwhite a year ago, but later realized that it’s quite handy when using it in the dark after having used it in the light. The backlight is on just enough to be able to see the icon to turn it up further. Now if only I’d remember to turn it back down during the daytime..
