Perhaps the Japanese PAL Wii?

WAIT! IT WAS ON THE WII? Shit! How’d I miss that?

I mean, that’s still pretty common with JRPGs today, but it was definitely a 90’s influence. Anime and manga because very existential as well. It practically became a staple of Final Fantasy and that period. I can’t remember where a read it, but after Japan’s economic miracle, the country gradual slid into a sort of

I’ve often gone back and forth on whether the SNES or PS1 is the king of the classic JRPG. I’ve begun to lean towards the SNES mainly because there were so many masterpieces like Seiken Densetsu 3, Tactics Ogre, Fire Emblem 3-5, Bahamut Lagoon, etc that westerners never got their hands on. Always wanted to play

Counter point: The Kardashian Klan.

Oh yeah, his high points are great reads, but when he get’s up his own ass, he goes DEEP. Still haven’t forgiven him for Batman RIP.

The fact that FF7R exists and was actually good is a historic achievement worthy of legend. Plus, I feel like this has been a fantastic year for indies.

I’m pretty sure it’s not exclusive to the Smash Bros. scene, but competitive gaming at large. Give a bunch of 20-something geeks who never learned how to talk to a boy/girl a young fanbase and you have a recipe for disaster.

Uh oh. I think we’re reaching that point where Hades is becoming to mainstream and every time another person puts on their GOTY list isn’t hip anymore. *Aubrey Plaza eye roll*

I finally picked it up over Black Friday week as I just didn’t feel like paying $60 for a Vanillaware game, lol. While I have some big gripes with the battle mechanics, the story is one of my favorites this year. I thought the large cast would dilute things, but they manage to flesh out everyone really well. Reminds

Throw Ookami and Mega Man on there too.

Imagine having the balls to announce anything in front of your 4th grade class without the teacher forcing you. An introverts worse nightmare!

Taking in Asphodel meadows is making me toasty and warm in my old un-heated house.

What ever happened to Elisha Cuthbert? Looked like she was on the rise after 24, had that 1 rom-com and then fell of the map.

Transistor is the epitome of what I call the “Indy Paradox”. The phenomenon that Indy studios have the potential to make truly inspired, original games that big devs are too risk averse to make, but at the same time, they don’t have the money/resources to flesh out their game to its full potential.

Having recently gone through both Bastion and Hades this year, it’s kind of misleading to say their would be a smooth transition between them. Bastion is much slower and more rigid and nowhere near the fluidity of Hades’ combat. It’s more of an old school action RPG like Zelda LttP, where I’d say Hades is closer to a

The only just irony would be if he somehow contracted an extremely rare disease carried by a South American muskrat that happened to bite his heel as he stepped out for the morning paper. Followed by a slow painful death at the hands of the deadly muskrat illness.

But then you can’t square in your mind that Captain America eats babies.

From the cis-male perspective, it of course comes down to Thor > Cap > Star Lord > Wonder Woman’s boy toy
