They do it so that fans do exactly that. It generates hype for the game, and with only a month left I think we can expect more announcements and "leaks" to come.

Everyone has their role to play in this play called life. Unfortunately our roles did not call for us to do anything creative. We're simply cogs that help other people do creative things. Yes it is sad and soul crushing, but we must accept it.

Why do they do this? Why say these consoles (both Xbox and Playstation) are going to have these features, get us all excited for it, and then hide the fact that they won't be immediately available?

Even then. A number of shut down, amazing looking Chrono Trigger fan games jump to mind. Square Enix put the complete kabosh on each and every one of them, despite it being an old franchise and the fact that they weren't going to be making any money of them.

And now let's kick back and see how quickly it gets shut down.

That's pretty much my take on it. I will agree that seasons 4-10 were the series "Golden Years" so to speak, but it's not like the new stuff are god awful pieces of trash. They are still funny and enjoyable to watch.

Thing is, I doubt most people who hate on the newer Simpsons episode have even watched an episode in the last 5 years. I have a coworker who whenever it comes up just bitches that "The Simpsons are dead" even though he admits to only just seeing the 30-second promos.
