Bobby ‘Boris’ Pickett - The Monster Mash

And because it seems like a possible time to celebrate:

Something to honor Steve Albini! Big Black’s “Bad Penny” or “Kerosene”, or Shellac’s “Prayer to God” or “Death of Radio” would be great choices.

I think folks could have a lot of fun with Son of a Preacher Man by Dusty Springfield

I love that this article is all pearl clutching over the idea of this lawsuit but it seems pretty legitimate:

Tried to do...what exactly? Nothing in this trailer suggests that they’ve amped up combat and made the game more actiony. It’s just a trailer focusing specifically on combat, something that the original game had (and was criticized for its clunkiness).

Agreed, and it was still only about 30 seconds of actual combat in the trailer. Combat was definitely the worst part of the original, at best it was boring, often frustrating, like eating a plain peanut butter sandwich with nothing to drink and it kind of gets stuck in your throat and you can’t breath for a sec and

It's going to be difficult for him to enter a plea because every time he starts talking he falls backwards into a display rack full of thimbles.

Theatrical? Streaming? Y’all gotta get consistent about adding distribution notes to reviews.

Yes, it was definitely Susan Sarandon’s fault.  Not the fault of the thousands of white women who actually voted for him.  Blame her.

Yeah, just throw away all of that sweet sweet intellectual property cash.  That’s what networks are known for.

I think it’s important to point out that this ruling allows the trial to happen. The actual trial itself isn’t even close to starting yet! Yet this article (unsurprisingly) makes it sound like the plaintiffs won the case and everything is going to change now, which is wrong and dumb and what the hell is wrong with you.

You’re alone on the ship, you’re out of fuel. You desperately search around the few asteroids in the system scavenging what little you can find. But you’ve stayed too long. You hear the footsteps, he’s here. And all that fills you is dread as they speak.

Can any of these celebrities just listen to a trans person for a minute before spouting off nonsense?  We aren't from fucking Jupiter, gender might be a more complicated subject then they think but its not rocket science.  I will always be in awe that so many people think a rich billionaire needs defending.

I have never understood the love for this thing. Everyone’s character in it is utterly repulsive, with the exception of Martin Freeman and his romantic interest. It’s awful, and anyone who uses this movie as a measure for their grand romance has some really AWFUL ideas about relationships.

Call it “The Big Buff” and it can be about how Kumail got swole to be in the worst Marvel movie.

Just like it says in the article, yeah.

What do you think the overlap in the Venn diagram is between video game players that talk about how difficult games shouldn’t have easy modes (and probably use cheese strata to get through said difficult games) and players complaining about skill based matchmaking that reveals they aren’t as good as they think.

“Ever since Kang made his first appearance in the pages of Fantastic Four #19 back in 1963, Marvel fans have been eager to see the character in live-action form”

Prove it with a single account of a single fan expressing eagerness to see a live-action Kang from say, 1963 to 2010

I urge them to go with someone who grew up in, and understands, the U.S. culture, history and institutions inherently, rather than needing to be briefed on them by the writers pre-tape. Maybe it can be relevant again, or even a force.
