But it doesn’t, it runs out of juice for ten minutes and then you’re all set.

It’s rough. I’m so used to looking at my hands when I get splatted to evaluate the map that it’s a bit sad not seeing anything now! I’d buy another Switch to use as a controller if they added the feature back.
They were always the worst part of Splatoon. I hoped there’d be some balancing factor, but it really does look as bad as it seemed when they first showed off the new feature for snipers. Rough.
I was playing with mine a bit to see if I could replicate it (I could, but only when I was making an effort to) but ended up with an interesting moment where it wouldn’t detect my right joy con while it was attached. It was definitely on all the way and came back when I took it off (and has behaved since) but it was a…
I love the colors! Bright and loud, like I like. I hope they do pink/green down the N3DS faceplates they sold in Japan and the N3DS XLs.
I felt the same way, but I was okay with getting gray. First, I was just afraid of missing the system entirely, and I’d rather have one with the ‘wrong’ colors than not have one. But I knew I’d be able to get joy cons later, and surely enough, I got a pair in red and blue so I’ll have options.
I find it both engaging and refreshing that they’re making a home game console that is finally comfortable being a game machine again. I don’t want or care about a game system that has lifestyle features. The Switch plays games and lets me put screenshots on facebook. That’s great.
Can you plug it into some third party chargers or power banks and see what happens? I’m sure Nintendo would send a replacement if it blew up!
They look kind of plasticky, but I’ll buy them. I’m still waiting for them to do a real statue again, it’s been a pretty long time since they’ve done one of those.
“It’s, uhh, time to watch some baseball.” The exact moment the Wii U died.
I wouldn’t be surprised if, aside from that, it really was to ‘maintain its focus as a game console.’ Given that non-gamer publications are already calling it a tablet, I think if it shipped with Netflix and a browser a lot of laymans would see it as a mucky tablet that plays games, and not as a home console that is…
I used the browser on my DSi XL exactly one time to post a facebook status telling everybody I got a DSi XL. I remember it taking about fifteen minutes end to end.
Nothing against expensive controllers themselves, I personally am in for almost $300 in extra controllers for my Switch so far. It just seems odd to me that $70 for a pro controller or $80 for more joy cons is too much when other consoles’ accessories sell for so much more. Also, someone should write a letter to MS if…

If the sticks break easily enough on the regular controller to necessitate being made of steel, it doesn’t sound like an optional accessory to me :p

Wait a minute, this controller costs >>one hundred and fifty dollars<< and people complain about the cost of Switch accessories? Is it made of leprechaun bones?

I was skeptical about the design, but I put a lot of trust in Nintendo to do these kinds of things well. I think anyone who’s given any of their current stuff a chance has found out that if you engage it the way they intend, it’s often very effective. I wouldn’t have been excited for the Switch form factor if anyone…
I’ve played it almost every day since I got it, it’s the most fun $300 I’ve ever spent.
I’ve played my Wii U almost every day since I got it. Mario Kart, Smash Bros, and Splatoon are constants, any one of them put down to play one of the other ones, or all three more intermittent while playing through Zelda, Pikmin 3, Mario 3D Land (great game!) or Paper Mario. Or to make or play some levels in Mario…
The one from F4F is actually polystone, they use super nice glossy and matte paint to give it that sheen
I ordered mine this morning. F4F does really great work, I’m excited for it!
