I'd drive that. I love weird things.

Lots of people like to rag on the looks of modern Ferraris, but I'm a pretty big fan of the 458 Italia. It's sexy, aggressive and modern — until you paint it up like the background from an early 90s elementary school portrait, that is. I didn't think you could get worse than the 458 Speciale, but here we are.

I love the graphic part of this infographic. It looks great!

I imagine it'll take some time to mellow out, since they more or less went from zero cars to all of the cars. What brought you to China in the first place? Assuming you haven't always been there, of course.

I've got to say, they seriously pulled off the Juke. I thought it was the nastiest thing on the market when it came out, now it's the nastiest. Like, the good kind of nasty.

No no, as in guess that film stock.

I've taken Mandarin before, but never actually been to Beijing. Aside from the black Audi stereotype/realitytype, what's the car culture like firsthand?

It's time to play "Guess That Film!" I say it could be Portra, based off these awful green shadows.

It's just because I've done this job before. Since Google doesn't really talk about how those pictures get there, it's not unreasonable to assume that some Google monkeys go out and do it themselves.

Wow, they've out-Phillied Philly.

I actually work with an independent contractor who does these "inside-businesses streetviews." I suppose it technically isn't against the guidelines they set forth, so kudos to the creative person who thought of this!

Break out the rulers, gentlemen!

I never, ever wanted to like anything about an Escalade. But that interior is handsome, and they actually managed to give style to an SUV. Making an Escalade that even I can appreciate is the worst thing that this new romanticized GM could have done. Like, stop it.

It looked GoPro-ish to me. Kinda neat, but a bit disorienting.

Also, I'm digging John Davis' two camera setup for his intro. Normally that's a one shot job. Still innovating after all these years. I dig it.

I thought it was some sort of crash at first, but nothing appears to be damaged. It could drive over them, but that'd put the driver into pretty serious hot water. But since the sort of people who do this to their trucks aren't usually very thorough thinkers, that may have happened.

Touché.

My dad has a very, very similar story to that! He and my mom got into someone else's car entirely. I wasn't born yet and I don't remember what kind of car he said it was, though. Apparently that was something of an issue back then!
