Why don't we like the California, again? I really don't know.

So just don't use it. I would use the hell out of a seventh gear because even if I'm driving something that is inherently inefficient, I want to maximize what efficiency can be had. If I'm just cruising, then why not?

I'd never noticed it before, but the topless PT Cruiser looks like an ugly shoe.

Except for peoples' back yards

I can't say I usually notice Infinitis, but any time I see one of the G## coupes they seem to be making an unexpectedly delightful sound. I've seen a few tuned ones, too. Secret performance car?

Designed as a pedestrian safety feature by preventing old people from driving.

Oh, and I didn't say, but congratulations on the engine-drop! As human beings who drive cars, I think it's satisfying for a lot of us readers.

So I was pretty sure I was tuned into the story from the start, except I don't know where the search for the engine/thieves dropped off. What ended up happened with the trail of oil that supposedly would have led to the engine?

Can "rocket brain surgery science" be a thing? That'd make me so happy.

I dunno, that's kind of clever.

Didn't that used to be the other way around?

I mention this in a lot of comments, but my first is a Veloster. Its DCT taught me what a transmission does, and I know I've made up necessities before just because I wanted to drive it some more. It's not a sports car, but it did a lot to bring me into the culture.

I think that is what they're going with. My Hyundai came with a dual clutch and I like it a lot.

I recall having heard at one point that GM did this to their cars back in the day over and over until something broke. I don't remember where I heard it, so take it with a grain of salt, but it must've been fun testing.

You know, I think it'd go over quite well if one released a new car in the US for about that much money.

I have a friend whose mom has always driven beige. And that's fine; I celebrate efficient cars. I think that enthusiasts probably should, as there's a degree of social responsibility to be taken when the object of your enthusiasm typically pollutes a whole lot. I always feel genuinely glad to see Volts and Teslas out

I don't know anything about sports, period. I live near Philadelphia and near enough to NYC and can sometimes recognize local players' names, but not what they look like or what they do.

I don't know who he is, but "George Best"'s name was the icing on this cake.

For people who want to go halfway, there's always the Veloster. My favorite thing is reaching around to pop open the rear door while first time passengers stand around and wait for someone to move their seat forward.

The winner is the first person to put it on a turbo diesel Miata wagon.
