Also, don’t kid yourself. 99% of development in LA does nothing for lower and middle class people. It’s not as profitable, so those types of units don’t get built.

Part of this is a protest vote. LA govt. allows developers to get away with just about anything that will grow their revenue base, despite what you may have heard about regulations impeding growth. There is zero thought given to impacts on traffic and other resources. Developers cash in and walk away, and leave…

But evaluating the quality of the competition makes Serena’s career even more impressive WRT Graf’s, in my opinion. Much of Graf’s career was spent beating up on weak moonballers (Sabatini comes immediately to mind), at least until Seles came along.
