Jean Smart showed some great chops *on* 24.

I think that Shelley's longing for Maura is understandable, in light (pun acknowledged) both of their long relationship and of Ed's death. I think she both wants the sex in its own terms and hopes it's a way to bond Maura to her. What I see on Maura's face is a sense of being trapped by a need that she sees, but

I really agree with this interpretation of the scene. I was a little taken aback to read an interpretation of the scene that took Shelley's claim of having forgotten at face value.
