I’ll agree that the original series did all of these great things but you lose me when you say no one has copied them. But the author had obviously never seen Babylon 5 (1994-1998), which had a very diverse cast, including a female captain long before Star Trek Voyager. There’s even wide diversity in the guest stars.…
