I just remembered The Loneliest Planet, which I also haven't seen, which has a similar premise. And also appears to have some great scenery with a less-than-great narrative. I wonder if it handles the premise any better.

Ah yes. It seems like the kind of typical European pseudo-progressiveness where any kind of sexual exploration is seen as the height of interestingness while gender roles are deeply, deeply cemented. Or is that trope not really as common as I think it is? The reviews made it sound like they actually explored things…

I haven't seen Force Majeure, but having read about it I know the premise and I probably won't watch it (spoil away if you like) so I'm curious about what makes you so angry about it?
