the appearance of the giant creature reminded me very much of when Monstro swallows everybody in Pinocchio.

i do the same thing, and it makes me sad too.
sometimes, it makes me sad because i feel like i am an inattentive philistine.
but when i watch samurai jack, it makes me sad because most other shows do so comparatively little to demand attention.

I think that the mounted antler'd samurai probably represents Aku. It has six points on its antlers, 3 on each side, which is the same as Aku. I started paying attention to this after re-watching the first episode, in the scene where the Daughters of Aku are born. The High Priestess calls out that there are 7

What in the world does this have to do with entertainment? The AV Club has obviously always leaned liberal, but when did it cross the line into blatant political cheerleading?

i agree. that final note in the bridge (i think it's like an A5? don't quote me) wouldn't be hard for a soprano, but for your average guy in the baritone/low tenor range it's quite a stretch. might not even be possible for a lot of guys without resorting to falsetto

didn't ridley scott just fucking do this 6 years ago? stay woke sheeple

you realize that Dredd was the original film to feature the aforementioned structure, right? the Raid ripped it off (to tremendous effect). It would be more proper to say that Dredd gives people something to sound smart about when their friends reference the Raid, than vice versa.

there's also the truede leaks on reddit, which have so far successfully spoiled every plot point of the season so far. the predictions for the final episodes seem plausible & are most likely accurate. the curious can find them here:
