When you consider that Garnet is a fusion of two people, it makes it less narcissistic. She likes that she is the manifestation of the love between Ruby and Sapphire.

I have a feeling Nardole will be a casualty of what's inside the Vault. I think this season's been foreshadowing that the Doctor will be away when the Vault opens, leaving Nardole alone to impotently defend against what's inside.

I like that the throughline of this season is in the background with the vault and the Doctor protecting it. It's a nice throwback to the Earthbound UNIT days of the Third Doctor without completely forbidding offworld antics. Making the Doctor a minor celebrity professor at the university was a stroke of minor genius.

They actually gave Joe something to do this week.

I hope the show gets some sort of seventh season to wrap things up. It would be bad form to simply finish a long-running show like this without a finale in this media landscape.
