It’s pretty dope. Like FFVII there are mini-games like basketball, Chocobo Racing, Tetra Master, along with some other silly stuff like a lottery and a hide-and-seek-esque game. It’s really fun. I bet I spent 1/3 of time playing XIV in the saucer, saving points for the cool mounts.
