Having played all 3, I’d say you’re making the right choice. WD2 is good fun, but it’s not a MUST PLAY NOW type game. I played it immediately after XV actually, and it really scratched that GTA-Style “I just want to blow stuff up” itch, after the obviously much more serious FF title.

I started XIV over the summer and it took an inordinate amount of time to catch up on all of the quests. Probably 3 months of semi-serious play. What bugs me more is the publicity of the thing. I understand it from a baseball standpoint I guess (though I’d disagree - he’s a relatively-cheap 5x all-star and former MVP, coming off a down year). But you don’t need to fuel the media with rumors and “availability.” That’s a grade-A dick move imo.
