It’s actually addressed in the documentary - one of the two Italian experts consulted in the appellate process mentions that Amanda’s DNA on the handle was pretty conclusive, but the trace of Meredith’s on the blade was consistent with lab contamination. When she followed up with the lab to find out what happened

It’s a striking omission, particularly since the U.S. Department of Justice estimates that one in five women are raped during their college years.

I do not agree that being uncomfortable with armed vigilantes makes someone a “rape apologist”.

Threatening to rape people and threatening to castrate them are incompatible with any kind of moral authority. The idea that those things can be made good by circumstance just shows how far things have fallen.

Then why isn’t there a criminal investigation? He wasn’t even investigated by the police because there is no proof of any crimes. Academic institutions should not be holding bs tribunals when journalists (UVA incident) and universities (Duke incident) consistently mess it up.

Yale’s guidelines for letting a Title IX coordinator file a complaint are quite narrow, and the present case does not fit under them.

Eh. This is one issue where I diverge greatly from feminists on, probably due to my ethnicity. As a black man in America, I just can’t be so dismissive of the the existence of false allegations of rape and the impact that they have when they occur. Many an African-American man in the early-mid 20th century ended up

If you think they are wrong to pose these questions or challenge the story, explain why. Your comment is simply ad hominem and misdirection.
