Who is “they”? Silverado guy will get his car covered 100% by his own carrier. Hellcat guy to me is a “maybe”. If Hellcat driver’s carrier declines coverage, they won’t pay for Silverado’s damage. If you do something that goes against the policy, you lose ANY coverage.

Untrue. Standard auto policies have boilerplate exclusion language around speed contests and racing. This arguably could be considered as such and may get a denial.
