Exactly. Don’t listen to “critics”. Ever. They are more interested in finding something wrong with everything and sounding smart. Its why they became critics.

Is it possible you were looking for a place to shit and just picked this show? I’ve never been blown away by the first episode of anything and think it’s a little soon to dump on this. Pinch it off and wait a few episodes. Thanks.

I enjoyed The Orville and laughed out loud at some jokes.

I dunno; most of the negativity I’ve seen has been among critics, not viewers.
Case in point, the Rotten Tomatoes score is 17% for critics and 91% for viewers as I write this.

I liked last night’s pilot episode. It felt like a fanfic mash-up of ST:TNG and ST:DS9. Even down to the score and sound effects. I didn’t realize how much I wanted something like that until last night.
