Very cool truckar. I wish I lived in a climate where I could have this many old cars sitting around. My old F-100 is rusting at just the thought of snow right now.

It was about a fortnight ago, on a Wednesday to be exact, that I had a strange dream. I was walking in the same desert where Wayne met Jim Morrison and the naked Indian, when I came upon the Christian Jesus. I asked him what car I should buy.

So you're trying to sell a 5.5 Million Dollar car on Ebay? Really? REALLY? Tell you what, I am prepared to give you an extra million dollars in a certified bank check if you can have it shipped to my daughter's cousin's nephew's house in Lagos. Thank you for your time. #fordmustang

Mass mandatory plate changes are ridiculous, but I can see the need to require that new plates be issued every so often in the rust-belt states.

@d3c509b aka Steve: That's definitely too bad about your friend. But by that token, I would never go to Rochester Hills (grandparent's neighbors were robbed and killed in their upscale home), drive a car (cousin broke both legs in eight places in a 50mph head-on) or talk to strangers (damn Jehova's Witnesses got me

@d3c509b aka Steve: I hate to break it to you, but Detroit's rep has a lot to do with the attitude of suburbanites like you. If you're so ashamed to even be associated with it, how can you call yourself a Detroiter? The auto companies fucked the city over decades before they did themselves in. Detroit has a hell of

@christauph: damn hamsters, the bottom part of the sign says "WILL WORK FOR FOOD" #qotd

339,900 on a '93 Chevy 1500 Work Truck. I just sold it last month, wish I'd taken a pic or at least waited 'til it crossed the 340 mark. But hey, I needed the $900. Prior to that, an '88 4Runner with 252k. Gave it to a friend after a rear-end insurance payoff, engine was perfect but it was a rust bucket. #qotd

Just picked up a '68 F100 last month, so no new project cars for a while. Next one will be a replacement for the gf's leased Rabbit. I'd really like a MK IV Golf TDI but the price is a little steep. If Ford gives us a diesel option in the Fiesta I might not be able to pass that up, but I'm not holding my breath.

This.

More expensive, yes, but a hell of a lot better looking than the fugly maverick. I like the 240Z-without-the-hatch rear end.

@Deartháir II: Exactly! An extreme example, but same vein. Most of the brooklyn d-bags couldn't afford a custom job with that much, uuuhhh... class.

@leavethegun-takethecannoli: In the past I would agree with you on the mini-van thing, but when I lived in Brooklyn I discovered a small but flourishing species of db: the douchebag with 4 kids and 5 baby-mamas (ya know, one on the way) that needs to ferry the brats around while still retaining a little flava.
