You just go ahead and take these bananas.
You just go ahead and take these bananas.
For a second there I thought we were still talking about sex.
Those freeway numbers aren't bad actually, I had assumed it wouldn't crack double digits under any circumstances. I have a '68 F100 that gets 12 mpg no matter how you drive it, but it doesn't gouge me too badly since it isn't an enjoyable long distance driver.
My choice as well, that's a beautiful car you have. I still have dreams of acquiring one and doing a diesel swap. I'd like to be able to, ya know, drive the thing.
I think they're all called Regal, but some of them have what we would consider US spec Century trim. I haven't been back in 6 years, but back then the Regals were all over. My dad had one then, he has a Cruze now. Not sure if they're still making the Regals, but given that they've been making Santanas since 1984, I…
They are actually B2 Passats (called Santana there), not Foxes, but the body style is very similar. I learned to drive stick on a red one in the mid-nineties while my dad was there working to foist the Century and Regal on an unsuspecting Chinese public.
Considering GM gets a fair number of its designers straight from the College for Creative Studies, I'd say it's a pretty damn good investment.
And for $1800, you'd think he could throw in all 4 full-sized tires. Sheesh.
I have often dreamed of this exact combination. Well done.
Ha, Boogie Fever. My now-wife lived right down the street from that place when I met her. Despite the hundreds of times I rolled passed, I never had the desire to go in. I did always give a status update when I would show up on a weekend night and tell her "Boogie Fever's off the hook again." For some reason there was…
Same story with me. We moved when I was six, and our new neighbors had a yellow C3 Corvette. My parents had a first year Cavalier and an Aspen (the Dodge, not the Chrysler), so that 'vette was the coolest thing I'd ever seen. I used to stand on my tippy-toes to get a glimpse of the interior. Jim Motavalli is a…
Here ya go:
That article was so poorly written, I didn't even know where to start. I'm glad you found a place.
Maybe not, but it would still get you a thumbs up and maybe a free beer at the local watering hole.
I'm actually of the opposite opinion, I prefer the styling on the pre-87 cars. The restyle brought the nose to a sharper point, making the car look too long. That, coupled with the larger tail lights and extra plastic stuck it firmly in the late 80s. I think the earlier cars are more timeless. I'm biased though, my…
I was thinking "abomination", but I suppose a more diplomatic description would be "hatch."
I'm pretty sure that an '02 bugeye Impreza falls squarely into wagon territory. The current-gen is definitely a hatch, but previous to that (including my '94) they were all wagons. The D pillar isn't the only deciding factor as to whether a car is a wagon or a hatch (see CTS Wagon's fat-ass D pillar for reference). As…
I know, there there. Don't despair, I'm sure someone out there will love that poor little wagon.
Yes but in general, a Versa buyer is someone who would LOVE an Accord but can't afford to buy a new one. Very few people are going to be cross-shopping a sub-11k econobox and a turbocharged AWD boy-racer.
Touche! The four on the floor in my F100 is really just a three speed with the granny gear. But then again, the big block under the hood has enough torque that it often doesn't matter what gear you're in.
