@Adam Howard: The annual statement is the report I am referring to.

I recommend that everyone request a report on their account from Social Security. I did and found that someone had used my number for some of their previous employment. This was not done on purpose. Their number was one different than mine. It was a typo!

@NoOneSpecific: This may be the longest post I've ever seen on LH.

Use an outdoor grill if possible. If not, use a microwave instead of a conventional oven. If you have to cook indoors, do so early in the morning or late in the evening.

I really, really hate the one word "thanks" replies. What a waste of time!

I'm in one of the relatively unrestricted states. Sales are only allowed for Christmas/New Years and the 4th. In at least some parts of Tennessee you can get just about anything all year long.

There's this one lady in my office that asked me to help her setup an email signature so she wouldn't have to type her name at the end of each email. Now I fume everytime I get an email from her because she has an email signature AND she still types her name at the end...WTF!

I tried using a coupon I printed one time and the store I took it to said they would not accept coupons printed on home printers because of excessive fraud.

Some people just don't have a clue. I get home yesterday afternoon, it's 100 degrees outside, and my roommate has the oven, dish washer, washer and dryer all going at the same time. Oh, and there was also a pot of boiling water on the stove.

Ahhh, the fragrant aroma of burnt semi-conductors.

The US Government doesn't need a law to do this. If circumstances were so severe they felt it needed to be done, they can just declare a state of emergency and start shutting things down.

Some how someone will figure out how to use these things to target in-store ads based on previous purchases, like cookies in a browser.

I still have fond memories of hangin' out late at night scanning the AM dial for broadcasts from far away stations: [en.wikipedia.org]

@JohnnyIdaho: I would tell you if I could. Google apparently changed their mind and removed the feature within the last hour. I had my Picasa picture set and when I tried to change it the link was gone!

I like the option to use an image from my Picasa Web photo gallery.

Well Lifehacker, you've done your part to help pump up the economy. I'm going grocery shopping!

The over-the-door hook works better for me.
