Yes, but it also plays into his “most attacked president in history” narrative and by Wednesday, he’ll be saying it was just a small group Democratic representatives and he heard they had paid some people off to boo him. Probably illegal immigrants taking those booing jobs away from real Americans who love him, but

Silent Violent Haze is also the name of the new Ben and Jerry’s flavor specifically marketed at the lactose intolerant.

I’m partial to the classic (by now) “short-fingered vulgarian”.

Based on what he says, if any of that sweat is on his back he is gonna get deported.

sir this is a wendy’s

Thank you. I withdraw my troops suggestion.

Similar topic/rant: I am always amazed at how low the airlines start when trying to buy someone off of a flight and get them on a new one (often the next day). I have never once heard an offer that even sort of tempted me.

I appreciate the camerawoman shouting “in Jesus name” a bunch. It’s like the Little League Baseball appropriate version of WorldStar.

Counterpoint: The human body is complicated. Some people go to the doctor for a physical and die the next day. This does not equal malpractice.

I think there is also some nuance here and its probably not fair to lump all “team doctors” into the same category, and assume they all have the same incentives/conflicts of interest. These doctors are not all the same.

At what point should a player be allowed to override medical concerns when the risks are weighed?  It’s like a pitcher wanting to keep throwing his no-no past his pitch clock. This is a more serious situation, but if you know your injury, know the risks, have heard opinions, and still decide to suit up, isn’t that

Maybe I’m naive but I expect someone like Kevin Durant to have a 2nd, 3rd and 4th opinion from different doctors not associated with the team and/or the NBA. Do we know that he didn’t get other opinions?

Every hot take sports writer needs to keep this in mind when cranking out their “Kawhi Leonard forced his way out of San Antonio” pieces. He didn’t trust the team doctors anymore.

Literally every single player gets (multiple) second/third opinions from outside doctors these days to confirm/re-confirm the recommendations of the team doctors. As was well reported Team Durant did. But carry on! It’s 2019, someone must be to blame.

Kevin Durants personal doctor, who is paid by Durant and has no connection to the team, also cleared him to play.

Am I the only person who reads the embedded tweets and think they’re largely good takes on the situation, not “bizarrely positive”? We should look with skepticism on what happened, but nobody actually has any good idea what transpired.
