Labor Day. Thats why the majority of us went to work.

Expanding the active roster to add a couple more pitchers would absolutely depelete the talant pool more than two expansion teams. Move two or three pitchers up is adding 60 to 90 pitchers that shouldn’t be on the actice roster. Now add the two or three that need to be called up to fill the AAA void and now the AA

I am aware of the 40 man roster. But there’s a reason that they are not on the 25 man roster and playing AAA. There are also other factors than talent, such as contracts and service time that will get a guy on the 40 man.

Adding two or three players per team would increase the amount of mlb players by more than adding two expansion teams. So if you’re worried about the talent pool...

Not at all, but the current commish seems to only be compounding the problem. To stay on the topic the amount of position players pitching I beleive is a side effect of limiting mound visits. A pitching change is now made when berfore the catcher and/or pitching coach could go out give the pitcher a minute to collect

Though I currently place blame on almost everything that is currently wrong with baseball squarely on Manfred’s shoulders. This situation I blame on the way pitchers are used these days. Pitch counts and specialized relievers take most of the blame, however the mound visit rule I think may have been the tipping point,

It’s Manfred’s fault.
