I got to meet Mr. Balboni back in October 2010 at the end of the Fireball Rally in Galena, IL. Naturally, he was driving a manual Balboni Edition Gallardo in the rally.

Yup, this is the one that sent me over the edge last night. When he started singing the main chorus that first time, I just lost it and broke down.

Dammit, can’t edit my original post, but the song is “Leave Out All the Rest” from their Minutes to Midnight album, not “Leave It All Behind.”

I still can’t wrap my head around yesterday’s tragedy.

Good thing most here aren’t working today because these pics are most definitely NSFW.

JFC, that’s inexcusably bad. Wow...

I’ve also been a fan of the Mondial (well, the cabriolet; the coupe looks just a little too akward), ever since I was a kid and watched Weird Science every week.

I couldn’t agree more. I’m bored of the pre-’75 American classics accounting for 98% of all the car shows in the Midwest, and very few cars from this century truly interest me at all (like the 5th gen Viper).

I figured if any vehicle in that list would have featured a female driver, it’d have been the CR-V. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a male pilot one of those things.

I agree except for the rear end: it looked like a Lego blocks clusterfuck, when the profile and front were so clean (though I never cared for the “super pulled-back headlight” look that was so popular back then, and Ferrari is still stuck on).

I hear ya. 456GT for me. Mmm mmm mmm, that thing has always done it for me.

Mmm the 456GT: My favorite Ferrari 2+2.

The Diablo has already started to appreciate. Five years ago you could find them for $90k - $140k, and now they’re almost impossible to find for under $200k, with some breaching $300k.

Clearly motorcycles aren’t your forte, but thanks for chiming in.

As would many Moto Guzzis. And plenty other makes and models.

Total bullshit. Motorcycle engines are every bit as capable of hitting six-figure mileage as a car engine is, but you don’t see as many because A) there are far less motorcycles on the road as there are cars, and B) people are far less likely to ride 100k miles as they are to drive 100k miles.

Thanks.

Oh man I wanna hear that Diablo 6.0 fly by at full song!

Who at Honda OK’ed the design, and has he been fired yet?

No, Sato is the first. It was historic.
