The Ford’s extra power and torque though is negated by its extra curb weight; it weighs roughly 500 lbs. more than a Stelvio when both are in 2.0 AWD configuration.  Despite the Edge being in a larger class, it’s only an inch wider than the Stelvio and four inches longer.  The only major difference I see in interior…

You could probably purchase a couple of top level racing teams for that amount of money. Certainly you could afford to buy an F3 team, an F2 team, and an F1 team and race your way up the ladder until you’re an F1 driver. Would be a fun way to blow a couple hundred million.

Yeah, it’s weird how they don’t mention 1 performance specification of the car.  It accelerates as fast as a _____?  It can go around a track in the same time as a _____?  

Except for Mustang & truxk/suv/cuv enthusiasts the rest of the blue oval guys want the high margin vehicles to pick up the tab. ST cars might have squeaked by and probably the RS as well but the base cars were either no or negative margin vehicles.

Because, sadly, FoST and FiST drivers aren’t enough to make up for all the regular people not buying Focus and Fiesta Titanium hatchbacks/sedans. A lot of that has to do with that horrible transmission, followed by not really updating either model from 2011 (Fiesta) or 2012 (Focus) until now. 

I hated it when Chevy did it with Ford trucks and I’ll hate it when Ford does it with Tesla (or whoever they are trying to mock)

This! That car is a lightweight powerhouse that will blow the doors off just about anything you’re going to find in and around it’s price range. It’s also very rare in the US

They use a GM engine so they’re not too bad. The British collectively decided at the turn of the century that they should just give up trying to build their own engines.
