Nevermind that, I want a 2GR Zzw30, like enough to sell my 3VZ SW20 to fund it type of want

Came here to post “Gen3 MR2". Faith in Jalops restored. Same displacement engine, <200 additional lbs curb weight, probably a ton more livable on a daily basis (dear god those Elise seats). For 1/3 the price? No brainer.
I picked up one of these for a track toy last year and love it! They can be had for insanely cheap! Mine had 171,000 miles and a misfire which I grabbed for $3,000. $100 in coil packs, spark plugs, and an O2 sensor later and she was good to go!
Isle keep that in mind.
“Especially if you’ve got $1,600 to bet on a race, but can’t be bothered to pay the nominal entry fee for a drag strip.”
But, but ... a track might require safety equipment!

Well and I have two issues with this. 1-to compete in amateur nights usually all you need is a cage and a helmet....and usually the amateur nights at least where I grew up had some pretty sweet pots. 2-I just don’t understand drag racing, it never entertained me. Where I grew up everyone liked road racing and rallying…
I did this shit when I was 18. These guys look twice as old and just as stupid.
Are we sure this goober’s teeth weren’t missing before the crash?
He doesn’t want to hear it because that comes from people who don’t buy new cars.
I really don’t understance why guys do this.
My wife and I spent around three weeks in Vietnam, making our way from Ho Chi Minh to Hanoi. Did HCM to Hoi An, then to Da Nang, then to Hue, and finally Hanoi. It was an amazing trip. Despite three weeks there, and numerous cities, we feel like we barely scraped the surface, and can’t wait to go back. Amazing people…
I mean, when The Olds are the only people who have enough spare change to buy new cars, of course every automaker is going to try to get Your Mom (literally, your mother, I’m not making a Your Mom joke for once) into a new car.
I’m bored to tears with fluffy articles leaping to absurd conclusions, but a window into of automotive mass-production is fascinating. Especially when it’s reverse-engineered from BMW’s own published information - not guesswork and hearsay.
I leased my BRZ new, but my current fun car is a used S2000 so I totally understand what you mean. It also doesn’t help that the kind of car I like (high-revving, analog and raw) is in short supply in the current market...
I have an RX-8. It’s not a first-gen RX-7 by any means, but owning one makes me think it’s incredibly unlikely that we’ll see another rotary sports car from Mazda.
