Car enthusiasts don’t understand business.

Same! And I loved Hanoi, so any excuse to return will make it that much easier to go back.

Jalopnik: Where Journalists are bored of their own reporting!

FWIW, I bet that internet commentators are a significant minority of folks who will end up buying the car. I bet 99% of the general public doesn’t even know it’s launching. So we’re just the frantic frenzied fanbase frothing for facts. F.

This has become the progression for the development of interesting cars. You won’t see this kind of hype for a crossover or wagon, but how often does an iconic car like the Supra appear? (or in this case re-appear) The C8 Corvette is another pefect example as was the Camaro before it.

I’m curious why this is even newsworthy. It’s been a parts bin car. No one has denied this. Toyota made it clear that they took all the parts and did the tuning.

You do have a point. The hype train can wear you out.

It’s the same argument as “people should stop giving Musk and Tesla so much attention!” followed by “you wouldn’t believe what Musk/Tesla did now!”

So stop posting all these stupid details. You did this to yourselves, if you are the type of person who wants to be surprised then stop digging for leaks. Meanwhile those of us who don’t just live for internet surprises still cant wait to drive this and see if it is worth our money.

Mate, you get a star for “silvia crossover”.

That was my impression too. Is the interior alone worth that price point, plus the inevitable German maintenance costs? I don’t think so— thus the Stinger’s greatest advantage: a lack of the brand tax, and reliability that will either be better than BMWs or at least covered by that awesome KIA warranty.

The people who think free trade is bad won’t understand why you’re showing them this article.

They got beat by a bunch of Koreans who are far better at building cars.

When people tell you Free Trade is Bad, show them this.

Hook up any truck to a trailer that is 100% of the trucks tow rating and you are an epic accident waiting to happen.

“What more did I have to lose by using the car to learn some welding?”

If a Frontier can tow a 240-280Z...

Same. I don’t want a big ass full-size truck. I want a mid-size (hell really want a compact) but I currently drive a 08 Dakota that can tow 7000 with its 290hp/320LbFt V8. If you tell me a newer Ranger will tow 7500 and have 270hp/310LbFt out of a turbo 4 which for $500 people are tuning an extra 20-25% out of

Here is my 2015 V6 towing what used to be my 2006 Mustang. It didn’t tow it like an HD truck would have, but it didn’t struggle that much getting up to speed, and it had no problems managing that speed once it reached it.

I like the idea of the Ranger returning to production, but is it a compact pickup or is it another midsize - nearly the same size as the F150 was 25 years ago?
