These requirements are extremely difficult and conflicting, but I’m thinking a Wrangler Unlimited would fit the bill. You’ll soon fall into the cult of Jeep, and will not love anything else (except maybe your kids). For the construction stuff, I’d leave a few shillings leftover to get a very basic trailer.
Correct. I honestly feel like it would be a deliberate rain on Toyota’s parade if they debuted it at the same time, and it would be such an epic troll job I would have to respect it.
Mostly good points. You aren’t wrong about the fanbois being a primary force in the hype, but I do believe Toyota is somewhat responsible. Bringing it to Goodwood? Releasing the NASCAR version? And now they are saying if enough people ask for a manual, they will make it because, in their own words: “There is…
Mmmm, I don’t know about that. The NSX was also a long time coming, which killed a lot of the hype, yet, the NSX is still a pretty good car and a head turner. Even though the hype died down, the NSX is still a solid choice for someone with the funds.
I think like Toyota, this car is taking a design direction that will make it look better to the naked eye rather than the camera lens.
Nissan is doing the best Mitsubishi impersonation I’ve seen yet! Which is based on Mitsubishi’s impersonation of Isuzu.
And unless I could afford a GT-R, you’d be hard pressed to get me to buy a Z over any of it’s competitors.
You’re going to need to do that with ALL the Supras to make that possible, let alone one.
“This just in: Toyota brings proprietary technology to the Wankel Rotary that instills it with superior fuel efficiency, clean emissions, and reliability, while still redlining at 9,000rpm”
Forget about robbing banks. You’re going to need to commit securities fraud-level felonies to afford this one.
Reading that it seems like most of the issues and concerns are around higher power builds with boost. It sounds to me like it doesn’t become a serious concern until you start pushing higher power and temperatures.
Personally I’m not holding my breath for an MR2 successor, I doubt it’s ever going to happen.
The only way I could ever see Subaru building a rear engine car is if they decide to team up with Toyota to build an MR2 successor to replace the BRZ/GT86. I never see Subaru doing this on their own.
Subaru barely knows what to do with the BRZ, its joint venture with Toyota, a sports car we think is perfectly fine as-is but has never received the power bumps or turbo engine the masses demanded.
If you have to fit two car seats, it’s not going to be your dream car unless your dream is very depressing.
1st Gear: From my perspective Trump’s outlook, and inability to understand the automotive market, is very similar to what led to the auto bailouts. Basically, the US marques don’t make vehicles that the market wants, which leads to poor sales, and then the government gets involved in an attempt to save them from their…
