Toyota totally made a homologated rally car...

The Toyota 2GR 3.5L V6 is the perfect motor for these cars 276hp NA V6 that is compact, and can be mounted low in the chassis. I genuinely do not understand why there’s no love for this swap

I hope they put 1700 hp in it so all the boiracers who whined about how underpowered the last one was snap their neck the first time they hit the gas.

Best case scenario for how this will play out:

1. They launch a car with Subaru’s new 2.4L engine, which will provide a significant bump in power output - exactly like everyone wanted.

2. Everyone will still complain that it doesn’t make as much power as “most other sports cars,” and will continue to compare it to

Like the one with two Kawasaki engines in it that redlines at 11,600 RPM?

I’ll probably buy a used BRZ as my next car. Snow tires for winter. I don’t have kids, and won’t have kids probably. I miss driving for fun, and it’s practical enough.
But I don’t understand the comments regarding the car’s power. We love the Miata, but chastise the 86 / BRZ? It’s decently quick, even if that’s not

200 is enough to have fun, but there are different types of 200.

I hope they don’t blow the engine. Everyone is going turbo mad [yes…i know] but the smoothness and acoustics of N/A engine is superior to all. Haven’t driven one yet but I hear the electric turbos improve the smoothness of the charger’s power delivery, but still…exhaust note…

I actually think the car would be better with a 2.4L, 230 hp engine than a 250 hp turbo-4. I think a bigger version of the current engine is the way to go, keep the revs and response but just add some oomph.

“I’m not in the market so I should keep my mouth shut” Said no one ever, but I will. I love these cars. I think 90% of people missed the point of these.

Bought a 2017 BRZ PP in December. I would absolutely buy the next version of this car if they make another! It’s light and cheap to run at the track. Great combo!

The 240SX had a bigger engine than the 180, but it wasn’t a better engine.

I saw a Scion FRS in the wild for the first time yesterday. Even the redheaded stepchild of the Toybaru partnership is a beauty. Can’t wait to see the next evolution.

Well this is going to get fun.

Have hit head on that bar (in a different car), can confirm it sucks, even with a helmet. This car needs halo seats.

well there was this one time I self incriminated on the internet for a few seconds of fame.

Not to be that guy (but totally being that guy), since it’s a rally car it was never not road legal, all rally cars are required to be road legal. I can even tell you this car’s original license plate number: R30 WRC

But he’s not a hack. He’s plenty talented, and you’re welcome to disagree, of course. But I’m an old head and dig his stuff a lot more than the mumblers, even if they’re just speaking their truth.

Counterpoint: Dicky and Gambino are both great, even if the video and song have problems.

Dicky, a comedy-rapper, is the worst kind of hybrid act. He’s not funny enough to be a comedian, nor is he talented enough to be a rapper.
