Maybe you shouldn’t have put so much effort into “Talking them down from the ledge”

Don’t be silly, apple would never forget to price gouge...

It’s not even the cleanliness so much as the perpetually “broken” credit card machines, arguments over routes, and getting yelled at/menaced for having the audacity to not pay in cash.

Honestly, this just reminds me how bad the taxi experience is in my city in that I would still use all of these evil companies rather than be use a taxi.

very strong post and i’ll point to the end of the Fairness Doctrine in helping grow this rift. not that there were a bunch of dudes in the back room smoking cigars and planning how to divide us but rather the opening of making a profit for it.

The primary issue is that over the course of the last ~50 years the two major parties have worked harder and harder on eliminating any overlap, any level of even-possible compromise, on social or economic issues. That’s what the “bipartisanship” of 50 or even 20 years ago is a reference to: it’s not that people used

This may be true for YOU and YOUR political views, but there are plenty of people out there who aren’t on the fringes of politics and prefer a more centrist, moderate approach. There is nothing wrong with wanting, say, pro-choice rights for women, marriage equality, AND lower taxes and smaller government.

You’d need to compare it to the RS5 for a true performance comparison. It’s competitive with the C63 and the M3 as well. Price and bang for the buck isn’t the issue. The issue is a poor dealership network compounding reliability doubts. It’s one thing to have an unreliable car the dealer can make up for with 5-star

Weird, since everyone in that video seems thoroughly competent, careful, and generally intelligent. I guess this just goes to show you that freak accidents can occur to the best of us no matter how many precautions you take.

I hope base Civic buyers see that shit and buy Corollas instead.

And this is why dealers are cancer. I can’t wait until the dealership model is obsolete, most of them deserve to go out of business. It’s 2017, I can’t see why people can’t just buy directly from the manufacturer. The only thing stopping that are lame state laws.

You’re talking about daily driving. Freeways, on- and off-ramps. Potholes and disjointed concrete pads. That’s not “sport”. The pesky commute is everyone’s chore, and I agree a toyobaru won’t shine there. But it’s most likely not what it’s been designed for.

That is, if “sport” is only straight line acceleration... to each his own, I guess.

I mean I’m constantly left foot braking in my BMW as well. Weight transfer is always good

So, like a 2 door Impreza?

Carmakers don’t give a crap if you buy used. They make no money on used cars. Promise them that you’d buy new and then you’d get their gears spinning.

Yeah it’s pretty bad when you realize there’s no way in hell they even opened the box of that returned item before sending it to you. I bought some drums for my wife’s car from Brembo and they vibrated like crazy right out of the box. You’d think it wouldn’t be hard for the manufacturer to make sure they’re, I dunno, r

You could literally devote an entire website to writing about Shady Aftermarket Parts. There is so much crap out there.

With my Hondas and Toyotas it is easy. If the parts are Aisin, Denso (NipponDenso), NGK, they are top-notch, and usually reasonably priced. They are original equipment manufacturers. Buying the same part in a Toyota or Honda box from the dealer is usually (not always) much more expensive.

Here’s the problem with cheap suspension parts. The quality and hardness of the steel used to make them. This is not something the consumer can check. These ultra cheap parts on eBay are probably made by the same company that makes the ones you buy at a parts store but my theory is they failed quality control. I’m not
