Sadly.

Ah, right. Sorry, definitely misread your comment. It’s been a long day...

He says he thinks he could fetch around 15 to 20 grand for the car, but that he has no plans to sell the Toyota.

Fair enough. haha

They’re getting cheap enough that picking one up as a weekend/fun car wouldn’t be too bad.

I’ve fit me, my fiance, and a trunk full of a few bags of clothes/things needed for a vacation, a set of golf clubs, two large tackle boxes, and 4 fishing rods in there with no issue. Still had room to spare too.

These aren’t even the photos with the most stuff I’ve fit in the car. That’d 3rd picture is a set of 17x8 wheels and unmounted 225/45/17 tires.

Stef, here are some more reasons for you to get an FR-S.

If people are complaining about it at the price point it’s at now, I don’t know that they’d be much more satisfied spending $15-20k more and only getting 300 to maybe 320hp when they could have a Camaro SS 1LE or Mustang GT PP with 455-460hp for the same price. They’d still complain, it’s what people do. Also, they’re

I’m confident a lot less of them would sell than you think. People talk a big game about what cars they would buy if X manf. only changed A, B, or C, but the reality is that very few of them actually would or even could. I think that a convertible version would actually do more for sales than a more powerful version,

Agreed, the exhaust note is terrible until you put on something aftermarket. Even a muffler delete makes it sound way better.

This is one of the smartest comments I’ve seen on Jalopnik in awhile.

This.

It’s a sports car! It’s not going to ride like a German luxobarge, it would suck if it did.

We’re surprised that stiff sports car suspension is stiff, and therefore means you’ll feel bumps and potholes?

I daily drive an FR-S in Chicago, where the roads are MUCH worse than LA, and it’s really not that bad.

I get the general public switching to crossovers, but come on, enthusiasts!

You’re comparing two very different cars with generally different target markets, even though some enthusiasts might cross-shop the two models.

EVERY sports car will see languishing sales over time until a refresh or new generation is introduced. Look at the Miata and S2000...

Yeah, but then you have to drive a Gensis coupe. :P

Jk. haha

Well comparing to a hatchback just isn’t fair. lol

It’s funny you complain about utility, I find that to be one of its biggest strengths! I can’t really think of any other 2+2 RWD coupe that can fit more stuff in it. 350Z maybe? I’ve fit all sorts of stuff in my FR-S with the rear seat folded down, and sometimes utilization of the front passenger seat.

My ‘13 rattles, but it’s also got nearly 90k on it and is daily driven, tracked, autox’ed, and ice raced in the Midwest.

They will make noises, but it’s not that bad at all.
