I agree, definitely a turning point for Krazy-8 and Nacho. The only party in that whole exchange who enjoyed himself was Don Hector.
I've become a real fan of Nacho, especially since his motivation for all this is to protect his father. I agree with the reviewer, I really want to see him drive off into the sunset at some point in the future and escape the life he's living under the Hector's thumb.
One thing that made me wonder is that I don't think Bill knows that timelords can regenerate. That being the case, why was the regeneration ruse used, except to toy with the audience's knowledge that this is Capaldi's last season and we're expecting a regeneration this season.
I'm leaning toward complete writing disaster. I don't think they'd go to the extreme of an "inception" dream within a dream story.
I agree. Really poor writing.
I admit I was wrong in my assessment of the Monks last week. They were indeed sinister. However, I was left wondering what, exactly, was in it for them other than dominating another world. To be honest, they really were one dimensional.
The Doctor definitely sees himself as fixer-in-chief. Capaldi's Doctor isn't the first one to be wrestling with the urge to take over and be benevolent dictator. That's where he and the Master share common ground. The big difference is that the Doctor deep down knows it would be wrong, while the Master feels the ends…
I totally get the theme, I just thought the execution could have been done better.
Considering all the tension the previous two episodes worked up, this one was a definite letdown. To say it was contrived would be an understatement.
Rabbert Klein must have an adequate supply of tasty lettuce…
Start the Modified Ludovico!
I forgot about that one! Coincidence, or the beginning of a trend? Either way, I can assume Mr. Elba won't be signing up for trips on Virgin Galactic any time soon.
Actually, all he needed was a single nib on the 5 key and he could have operated the keypad without looking at it. People have been doing data entry like that for more than a hundred years.
More indication that Nardole is. Cyborg…
There's no place like home. There's no place like home…
It did seem like a pretty serious design flaw.
Yes! Killing Idris Elba, Space Captain, was like killing a unicorn!
Or (Archer reference here) a black astronaut!
Because it was all in the script…
