My wife proposed that one. He has the means.

Except Vandal Savage took the long way around getting there.

No reason they can't go to the future, at least theoretically, though everything they do in the past and even the present will affect it.

Of course, he wouldn't be able to claim he was in the Secret Service…

Maybe in his reality the Hindenburg crashed a day later and John Wilkes Booth shot both Lincoln and Grant. From his point of view he's trying to restore the timeline. He's pretty sure he's the hero.

I did like how Van Damme hit the younger Silver in the face and the older Silver suddenly had a scar!

I remember that movie. There's nothing in physics to support the effect, but it was neat FX. I have a feeling simply touching your younger self wouldn't do much.

I'm guessing it's going to have a second season then that's it, even if the ratings hold. There's only so long this premise will play out before the timeline becomes so convoluted that the present isn't recognizable, or someone makes a mistake during a trip to the past and they don't exist.

I also think the "travelling back to a point where you already exist" rule is BS. Yes, you wouldn't want to interact with yourself, but simply being in the same time doesn't seem to me to be a game changer. You're not occupying the same space, so all that's really happening is that there are two versions of you

Johnson and Grant not being effective presidents isn't so much the issue, but had the plot succeeded, then the speaker of the house would have been president. At that time he was Schuyler Colfax from Indiana. He was one of the founders of the GOP and was a staunch abolitionist. He was also one of the loudest voices

Maybe they'll figure that out. Their plan up to now has been to just not interact and they're discovering that it's impossible not to.

It seems The Rittenhaus Group and Conor Mason are tracking the changes via Rufus' recorder. There's more at play than simply trying to stop Flynn.

The Limelight is a real thing. Stage lights in that era used quicklime (calcium oxide) and were very bright.

Yes, it's a little sloppy on the time travel front for now, but I think the show is playing dumb, because I see some interesting twists being lined up. Here's my theory:
