I’m glad I’m not the only one who says “rocket surgery.” I’ll say it and people will try to correct me as if I’ve said it in error.

I’m kinda annoyed this color is only available on these anniversary edition cars. It’s a great color combo.

Not at all, this is a case where both the COD is correct and the comment which started this chain is correct. It’s great that F&F got people legitimately into cars, but at the same time it brought about a lot of people he described. The car scene was very different before and after F&F.

I’m trying to figure out how the GTE class was the one with poor BOP when there was only a lap between the top 2 Mfg. The P class on the other hand basically had the Cadillac DPi being far and away faster than any other DPi cars and the only reason the LMP2 cars were within spitting distance was because of tire issues

I’m not sure I’d say he was a motorsports hero, but I like others was a fan of his because I enjoyed seeing a privateer team keeping up with and beating the big factory teams. Now that I know how he funded his race team it makes me sick when I remember rooting for him and his team.

There are 2 times a year I am willing to go to Florida, this weekend and Sebring weekend.

I’m glad I wasn’t the only one

I’m sorry but all I can think about when someone says teal car is that God awful Ford Probe color.

I wholesale disagree, the Greens have always been sketchy as hell, and the home to far too high a percentage of crime in North Auburn.

Oh great my home town made it big oh Jalopnik... This policy was dumb as rocks, but the Greens are so sketchy its not even funny.

Another valid solution is to live somewhere you don’t need winter tires... It makes shopping for them much easier when you don’t need them at all.

Subarus have been doing this for a while now. In the last couple of years it’s gotten huge. LP Adventure, Subtle, and ADF all have great kits for just about every Subaru. With a little extra tire, and good tires they are very capable.

At some point in the next 10-15 years I expect the classic car bubble to burst. The super rare cars like Super Birds and Boss 429s will continue to be valuable, but the ‘average’ classic car will drop in price as their Boomer owners start to pass away. Their GenX and Millennial children will likely have to sell them

You might be forgetting something, weight. My Explorer has nearly your magic 300 hp, but is slow because it weighs nearly 5000lbs. If my Miata had 300hp I’d venture to say it would be too much power. In something like a Miata anything between 200whp and 240whp is a rocking good time!

Potentially, but this was also a time where 3000GT VR-4 owners were easily beating the times magazines were publishing. The point is MKIV Supra performance in magazines was so much faster than the expected window something fishy had to be going on. Remember the LT5 ZR-1 had 400ish hp and was lighter weight.

Most of the magazines all stated the car was significantly faster than it should have been. Most of them even said they suspected Toyota was providing cars with a non-production tune making as much as 50hp more than they claimed. IIRC many magazines had it being quicker than the LT1 Corvette and nearly as fast as the

At least it’s far less ugly than the Juke was.

Why buy a Bronco II when you can have an Explorer Sport that fixes most of the problems the Bronco II had?

It’s funny ALMS tried this whole streaming thing with ESPN 3 years ago. Unfortunately then people just weren’t interested in streaming. Now I’d die for the same level of streaming for IMSA races as they offered then for ALMS.
