Rewatched Magnolia last night: first time in a decade, but still fresh as a daisy. Surprised, as I usually am for some reason, about how busy PTA likes his cameras to be. Sniffing out the feels like a bloodhound.

Pretty much everything by Phillip Glass, Michael Nyman, Jonny Greenwood and Ryuchi Sakamoto. And then an aftershow curated by Wes Anderson, please!

I think somewhere between that and It's All Around You they drew a line somewhere. They simmer nicely enough, but don't stimulate in the same way. A little goes a long way for me now.

Same, and I really, really want to like it. Nothing after TNT does justice to their former glory.

Kamasi Washington, The Epic. I'm going to find a way to live in that record forever, if it's the last thing I do!

The Korda version of The Four Feathers. Out of date and dubious even for 1939 (?) but what a ride!

Lovely thread. I've just gone and got all verified, just so I can post this. I'm not really one for welling up or getting goose-bumps from songs, but this love song from James Yorkston to his dying friend and colleague gets me every time, even after 50+ spins.
