It’s the Lexus attempt at a grand touring 911. Powerful engine, awesome interior, lots of technology, etc. Just too expensive.

Yeah, can’t say that I like either of the new models honestly.
Yeah, I misstated above. My G90 is a 2016 and listed for $71k. That same car in 2023 is over $100k. So that’s a 50% markup in 7 years. That might not sound THAT BAD, but the same car was about $80K before the redesign showed up and jumped that price to where it now is.
Let me tell you about how much I tracked my stock 1.6L ‘91 Miata on that same track. I’m VERY familiar with “Driving a slow car fast”.
With the G90 increasing by almost 33% in price in a few short years, this is no surprise. My local Genesis dealer is having NO PROBLEM selling the ones that they get though. Even those with the “You can only use 1 type of soap, and rain might ruin the paint” matte finished ones.
The LC, I really like it. But not…
We just had a Formula E race at PIR. (My home track). I watched with great interest as THIS was a chance to see how fast the cars really are.
How fast are they? Slower than some SCCA classes!
Almost 12 seconds a lap, in qualifying, slower than a race lap of a 1 liter motorcycle engined Stohr DSR around the track. (And…

You guys should have asked! I would have provided this picture of me in mine:
Yeah, in DCG I worked on the Intel Modular Server, which was a good seller. Hell, EVERY Walgreens has one in it. We were pitching it to the Turkish ministry of Education. They were going to put one in each school in the country. Well, Dell or HP (we were never told WHO exactly), basically threatened that if we…
I drove it to work at Jones Farm a few times as well. I was in the ill-fated DCG (Data center group), when that got killed by corporate, I got moved to the ill-fated cellphone and tablet group, and then to an ill-fated group that was CONVINCED that they were going to be able to run Linux drivers on bare metal hardware…
It was! I owned the same one twice, but when I bought it back it had been modified in the “every way possible” manner, and was just a nightmare. So, I moved it along.
Funny Oregon gas pump story: I used to own an Ariel Atom. I would show up at the pumps, and hop out, and the attendants would look at me from a distance and say “I’ll just let you do that yourself”, and I’d nod. So, not only did it intimidate kids from wanting to drag race me, it also intimidated fuel attendants into…
When I lived in Hillsboro, and Canby I had an ML350 Bluetec, and ALWAYS pumped my own diesel. I was told that there’s an exception in the law for diesel that allowed you to pump your own. I would pull up to the pump, and get out, and an attendant would start towards me, I’d say “diesel”, and he’d say “OK, yeah, you…
I’m just sad that Art Bell isn’t here for this.

Right up there with the 6-car GP at Indy.
I blame Toyota
Wait for it!
F1: “You can’t have a slot as you don’t have your own engine manufacturer”
Andretti: “We have GM, and they’ve said they’ll become an engine manufacturer if we get a slot”
F1: “So you’re admitting you don’t have your own engine manufacturer? DENIED!”
