My local Genesis dealer is on the same piece of ground as the Hyundai dealer, and I was rapping with the service manager.  She says that Hyundai was demanding LOTS of changes just to “qualify” for the ioniq 5.  So, this sounds like it could be industry wide.

Opening the door for Honda to say “You know what, we’ve changed our minds.  We’d like to stay on with you guys for a while.”

Concerned about the $139,500 price tag?  NO PROBLEM!  Buy a used one for about half that after the first owner gets tired of seeing the dealer every month.  (At least!).  Don’t get me wrong, I *LOVE* the brand, but the price of KEEPING one is way too high for me to take the plunge.

Sad

Fair point, I guess I should have said “Tacky, obviously CHEAP plastics”.

Read earlier “Under a million dollars at the current exchange rate” as the price. So, that means $999,999.99 on the road to me.

1. Will never own one.
2. Will never drive one.
3. Likely will never so much as SEE one of the 5 examples that they’ll sell of this thing.

So, I don’t really care.  (Says guy who has owned Ariel

Drove a brand new Prius Prime the other day (Had 62 miles on it).  JESUS the amount of plastic in there!  I assume that’s for weight savings, you know the kind of thing that you’ll try to do to extend the efficiency and RANGE of an all electric car.  Anyway, I hope the interior of THIS car is better than that Prius

Drivers CAN’T ignore them in F1. You are allowed something like 3 blue flags (3 corners basically) to get out of the way or else you get the black flag (I think it is). And you NEED some way to get the “clock-blockers” out of the way. They’re just costing you time.

We’re just a couple of guys on the internet, we should consult an expert. Say, Fernando Alonso at Spa from this past weekend. He had some choice comments about Hamilton:
“What an idiot! ... this guy only knows how to drive and start in first.”

You said: “In past seasons, dominant car and driver combinations had to also contend with dirty air as they progressed through the field”.

NOT SO!  Look at how many time Hamilton won from pole.  He didn’t have dirty air until he got to the back markers who under blue flag, are obliged to get out of the way.

Well, you should all give me money to get on the list for MY hypercar!  It’ll have 2500 HP, do 0-60 in less than a second, and UBER exclusive!  I’m building *0* of them, so there’s NO CHANCE someone else will have the same car as you.  Get your orders in TODAY!

Just like airline baggage fees.  When they were first announced everyone was LIVID.  And now we just pay them.

Thoughts and prayers, I hope it gets better.

What does it look like upside down in a ditch on fire?

I have a 2017 G90, and MOST of that equipment is on my $70K 2017. The exceptions are the rear-wheel steering, and the B&O stereo. (Neither of which I would opt for if given the option).

I’ve had NO problems with my 2017, it’s a great car.  Powerful, and has a presence.  I lovingly call it “The Korean S-Class” as

I think I see through what they’re saying. They DGAF about the compliance costs, this is all about “lost BS sales”. No more VINetch? LOSS. No more paint protection? LOSS.  No more undercarriage spray?  LOSS.  And they’ll have to make up for these loses SOMEWHERE, and that will be in the prices they’re willing to take

I like to get up and go WITH the salesmen when they say that BS.  “Hey, it’s my deal, I should hear what he has to say, right?”.  I’ve made it into the manager’s office a couple of times, and everyone looks confused, and they just make my deal to get me to leave.

Boy the new 911s are surely ANGULAR all of a sudden.

(I’ll wait anxiously to see what NEW scummy tactics they come up with.  Having bought a Kia from a deal, and helped friends buy all sorts of stuff, I’ve seen A LOT of scum).
