Eh, I prefer that he explicitly escapes rather than the somewhat tired comic trope of "oh you thought he died but he didn't".

That seems plausible. One of my favorite things about this show is that they don't feel the need to explain absolutely everything. See also: what caused the fire by the pool in episode one? What exactly are Ms. Bird's powers (if any), etc.

What because all white people look alike? Seriously he looks vaguely like Jamie Kennedy at best.

Oh, when did this get to Hulu? I was looking to stream it after the first episode was on Prime for free, but there was no announcement about the Hulu release.

Your loss. This is the actual storyline.

Ooh, yeah, Farnum's a good call.

Cy Tolliver from Deadwood.

It's Milk and Eve not Milk and Steve!

The kids on milk cartons thing only actually lasted for like a year or two, but for whatever reason it's become part of the cultural zeitgeist.

And then the murders started.

Eh, NIMBYs are pretty cross party. I grew up (and still live) in the SF Bay Area (which is pretty liberal by and large) and we've been NIMBYed out of decent public transportation for as long as I can remember.

Counterpoint: The last 2 seasons of Agents of SHIELD have been legitimately great.

My wife loved the show so I got dragged through the last two mostly miserable seasons, but even those had a couple good moments and performances. The ending was just goddam ridiculous though.

Lol I think you reversed them again. Cottonmouth = Oscar Winner Mahershala Ali. Diamondback = Overacting doofus with a power suit.

I think you're reversing Diamondback and Cottonmouth here, but yeah, losing Cottonmouth definitely did not help things, and after all the build up for Diamondback he just ends up seeming like a violent moron who lucked into some fancy tech and who has way too much plot armor.

ROWSDOWER!

I need you to acquire a certain item from a certain building. I'll give you certain specifics at a certain time.

Right, I agree there was a way they could have made a decent portrayal, but all the reports and examples make it sounds like they did nit.

Yeah, I think making him Asian (or hell, any given ethnicity) would have been perfectly defensible, but I don't think it was a requirement. However from all the reviews it really sounds like "Hi, I am a white guy who will constantly tell you how I understand your culture better than you ever will so get in line",…

Huh, I thought the trailer looked promising, but the reviews have all been pretty consistent with this one, which makes me sad. I like the marvel Netflix shows more than most (there were a lot of complaints about Luke Cage, which I thought was pretty great), but this one looks…problematic.
