I seem to recall some allusion to the Doctor being Merlin. I just don't remember when. It would explain the "living backwards" bit.

This. With very little exception, I don't buy gifts in December. Though I have had occasions where I found something to supplement a gift.
You could. I'd only be concerned about latency. There can be a delay, especially if you are on an older wireless network.
You can also control click for a one time exception for a single app. That's what I do.
That isn't at all a comparable processor. It's clocked at 2.5GHz. The Mac Pro is clocked at 3.7GHz. You'll also note that your statement about server processors is bull. Apple has used server processors in the Mac Pro pretty much since the switch to Intel. Also, you linked to a server processor, so I'm not sure how…
How are you figuring it's a $2000 machine? What specs are you talking about. Newegg is selling the closest equivalent E5 processor for almost $1500. Considering the cost of the dual D500 setup, RAM, SSD, and I/O, I'd be interested in knowing how you plan to spend less than $2,500 on the same specifications.
Bull. The processor alone on the lowest specced machine is over $1000. We aren't talking about an i5 or i7. These are Xeon E5 processors. The closest equivalent quad-core on Newegg is here. It's $1,459 bucks and has a lower clock speed.
Exactly. It's an outstanding machine, even if it isn't for everyone. I've been putting a little away every month for one, out of my photography budget. Should be ready tomorrow! Tax wright-off, here I come!
