In general, I've noticed some major issues with colors being over saturated on network TV lately.
I'm sure they could do that, and perhaps they will, but I'd imagine his is an easy way for them to ship a product that doesn't require it's own screen. That keeps their production cost down, and this becomes a keychain rather than another 4" device.

Wow, sorry. That's the exact opposite of the experience I've had with them. I'd say that you may want to look into getting a replacement if it isn't working for you, but if you've had trouble with customer service, that may not help.
Yup. I swear by Eye-Fi cards. They're all I will use.
Eye-Fi card. Don't buy any SD card that isn't an Eye-Fi card. They're just as fast, cost only a small bit more, and can do direct mode synching to the phone in your pocket/iPad in your backpack.

I agree. I could see 24p continuing on as an esthetic choice just as black and white film has. I don't, however, think we need to hold onto it as the gold standard.

I agree about the controller bit, but AirPlay can do more than just mirror. There are many games that offer a two screen experience.
The Apple TV and iPad both capably handle HD resolutions.
