4th Gear: Gas prices have actually gone down about 10 cents in the past week where I live. (Phoenix, AZ) Currently around $3.85.

This just adds fuel to the fire.....

First, This story is a little one sided. Sad, yes. But if someone in a beater car pulled up to my dealership and was dressed like a bum, and asked to be sold a Corvette, I would probably do the same thing. I'm sure the dealership didn't know the guy's story, and were caught off-guard.

The point is, people don't care about signs, regardless of what they say.

Signs really don't do anything for safety. How many times have you seen a speed limit sign, and kept going above the limit?

Although those people are pretty stupid to stand there, the airport needs to do something about pedestrian safety.

The only reason he was the 2011 ALMS Champion was because he was the only one running in the LMP2 class. And he only ran about half of the races.

That should have been the first red flag. Lol

I would like to see someone try that. If they manage to keep in in a straight line and out of a ditch, I will agree with your statement.

It may have 1000hp, but how much "useable" horsepower does it have? Especially with street tires.

And they are only bringing 6,000 to the USA? I think they could easily sell 5 times that a year.

I'm very interested in what the engine will be in the GTE Viper. The production car has a 8.4L V10. Corvette was forced to go from 7.0L to 5.5L due to the regulations.

It's interesting that they call it "mid engined" even though that is technically correct. The Corvette is also "mid-engined", as are most front mounted engined sports cars now days.

Looks like a new version of the original GTS, which is fantastic! And also, coming to a ALMS race near you!
