Also, at this point, I'm not sure PD can afford to do a GT6 after the time and money GT5 has taken and the extreme lack of sales of a half assed game. I think GT5 Prologe has sold a huge amount more then the actual game.

actually they have released 2 games and over 12 DLC packs between the time GT4 and GT5 were released, and released a 3rd superior game plus 2 DLC packs (one on day one) and plan on releasing 1 DLC pack each month for 1 year......yes, they did.
