I don't know, the newer ones are pretty reliable. We've got 2 in the family, but maybe we need to put more miles on 'em. You shouldn't generalize about dealerships, though; I've been to a few both in Central and Midwest US, and they've been stellar. Local VW mechanics have also been fantastic, so I guess it's a matter

Despite what a lot of people say, I'll always buy new (or at least lease). I'd rather have the peace of mind of a warranty and scheduled maintenance for a few years, be able to get to know the car, and take care of it how I want: oil changes every 5k miles, wax every 6 months, etc. Plus, being a single mid-twenties

Those youths must not realize the A4 is a better value for only a few grand more. Especially on a lease, you'd be nuts to get an A3... I think.

NEEDS MOAR RED LED'S! Also CP

I have to ask - did you look at the estimate of costs before you signed? You never have to get that extra insurance unless it's a special case in which you don't have it, etc. But once you return the car you have technically used the insurance whether you wrecked or not...

Of course Hertz and Enterprise are awful if you're not a manager or exec (even then it's great sales experience, I've worked at both at a few low/mid levels). One-ways out of state and airport-to-local fares will always be atrocious - look up how those businesses work and how they allocate vehicles as resources. Also,

Actually laughed at the dealer rep when they offered me a lease at $660/mo a few weeks ago for a 2015 A3 Quattro. Even with a credit score of 750+...

All we can be sure of is that this new Subaru will clash golds and blues in horrible ways never before thought possible...

Buying a car that took rear styling cues from a Buick. It's that kind of thrill.

Still really surprised they're letting this sell for $45k on the high end. I could get a damn A4 for that price. Maybe not every with single feature listed, but damn sure a larger and better car for the price IMHO. On the other hand, it would definitely be against Audi's "luxury" brand name letting a car of theirs go

Maybe he priced it so high so he doesn't have to sell it..?

$40k USD? They must be crazy.

Jetta in the back, Taurus in the front... Not sure what's inside. A cross between Ford and Nissan? I don't know anymore.

It's... staring into my soul... It looks so unsure of itself BUT IT KNOWS EXACTLY WHAT IT'S DOING.

For those of you wondering, the $100,000+ ticket case was finally settled for $4,400 or so. Check out the link above, pretty interesting story.

My dad owns one of these - super comfy, and timeless to boot!

Pretty much. I watched about 10 seconds and got physically uncomfortable. I hope no one patted themselves on the back for this one.

I was just about to say that; a $47,000 charge for a car is an anomaly, and an exception. Of course no judge would be able to ethically rule for the rental car company in this specific situation. Scratches and dents happen all the time, though, and are covered under the realm of customer responsibility.
