Take the gig, be super professional and treat the technical folks and the tour manager respectfully, and you get on The List. Somebody needs a drummer they’re gonna ask around and maybe your name comes up. Nobody who matters judges a working musician for playing for a paycheck.
It will not open up any doors for you career-wise because who gives a shit that you toured with Limp Bizkit? But you have a chance, after all these years, to finally make it big. Do you take the gig?
I don’t think one has to actively dislike children to not want to have any. I’m personally just not interested in them, and have no desire to be pregnant, give birth, or raise anyone. I actually really like younger babies because they are cute and squishy, and very pleasant to hold for a while.
In-N-Out is, indeed, fine.
after reading these comments, I remember now that I only got partway through Hannibal and never finished it for whatever reason. I now regret that, because it sounds like shit got real in the second half of the book >D
I HATE this.
Ah you’re right, I thought it was an FBI agent for some reason. But yeah, the ending sounds weird out of context or if you only saw the movies, but in the context of the book series it makes sense. Harris is trying to build, throughout the series, an idea, a framework that anybody can be a deranged killer if they just…
I really, really hope Trump responds. Or dies. Whatever.
I mean Pop’s just saying what we are all thinking. 😎
If Donald Trump’s was 100 times the man he is now, he still wouldn’t be 1% the man Gregg Popovich is.
If your social media avatar is a baby, I’m going to assume you are a baby. If it’s a car, I’m going to assume you’re a Transformer.
It’s super annoying. I would extend it to group shots too (or those assholes using each others pictures as avatars) - which one are YOU?? Makes me bonkers.
I hope Carmelo Anthony drops 76 points on them in his home opener.
I know a couple that uses their significant other as their avatar. So his avatar is a picture of her, and her’s is a picture of him. I don’t know why, but I find it infuriating.
Really makes you think this backlash isn’t about respecting the country at all, doesn’t it?
As a parent, I have little interest in posting my child’s picture publicly without their consent.
That’s not stupid. It bothers me too and I’m a parent.
One takeaway you could have from this is that they don’t have much going on in their lives other than there kids at this point. If they didn’t talk about them they wouldn’t really have anything new to share. I have two young kids, and my life pretty much consistent of work and then the children until they go to bed.…
When people preemptively kick me out of a conversation by saying “Well you don’t have kids so you won’t understand x,y,z” it’s kind of isolating. Like, I know I don’t have kids.. but I AM able to have empathy and listen and relate to people who lead a different life than I do.
